All On A Christmas Day

Christmas is a time filled with open fires, "Jack Frost nipping at your nose," "carols being sung by a choir," and "folks dressed up like Eskimos."
We celebrate this time of year by traditions passed down from generation to generation, whether it's picking out a Christmas tree, untangling and hanging lights, or setting out milk and cookies for Santa Claus.
A tradition at my grandparents' house is singing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus. Although I do have a Mexican cousin-in-law, his name isn't Jesus (Cheesy? Yes, I know. Hello, my name is Leron. Have you met me yet?). The Jesus we are singing to is, of course, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. At Christmas and even year-round, we as Christians should be celebrating and remembering this amazing gift God has given to us.
For many people, the stress and traditions of this season cast a shadow over Christ's birth. They may remember to put an angel or star on top of the Christmas tree because that is a family tradition, but they may forget the real "reason for the season." They may forget about the great gift they received- Jesus Christ.
As Christmas gets closer, remember the gift God gave you. His forgiveness of our sins through Jesus Christ is the greatest gift I will ever receive, and I will never forget it.
John 3:16 (NKJV)- For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

One week before Christmas Eve and Christmas Day is BFWBC's Christmas production All On A Christmas Day (created by Custer & Hoose with Dennis and Nan Allen). This is "a broadway style musical about a journey to faith."
Invite your friends, family, and neighbors and enjoy "an engaging dramatic story, energetic production numbers, and moving ballads, all culminating in a moving moment of decision."
