A family is shelter from the storm, a friendly port when the waves of life become too wild. No person is ever alone who is a member of a family.

The family is the first and basic institution created by God. Before there were churches, cities or communities, God created the family as the basis for social order. His instructions to the family are to love one another, to train the children in Godliness and Righteousness, to love the Heavenly Father will all their being and so on. The family was and is designed by God. Therefore, we need to understand that God has plans and desires for each of our families. I think Solomon said it best about building a family in Proverbs 24:3-4, "Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms shall be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. "
