The Torch
May/June 2005
The Bi-Monthly Publication of the Beulah Free Will Baptist Church Isn't it great to see what God is doing in our Fellowship? He is moving among us, doing His Work and calling us to be involved in following His Direction. Rick Warren calls this, "Riding the Wave God creates." Let me remind you of some of the things God is doing among us. Wasn't it great on Sunday, March 6th, to see six new people join the church family? We are glad that Barbara and Archie Young, Robert and Florence Reno, Brenda Jackson and Polly Best all decided to join our Fellowship of Believer's here at Beulah. It's great to have you as a part of the Church Family and I can't wait to see how the Lord uses you in the ministry of this church. And what about the "new name written down in glory" - Rhyanna Smith. She decided to trust Jesus Christ as her Savior. A great decision, with lasting effects. Pray for her as she begins her walk with God. Then there is the arrival of Gene Edward Wooton into this world on March 8th. His parents (Gene and Angela) are so excited about God blessing them with this new life. They now have the awesome responsibility to "raise up the child in the ways of God." It was so exciting to watch them dedicate this precious gift from God back to the Creator. In this solemn service, they acknowledged their dependence on God to help them raise their child. But they also gave God the authority to use little Gene in his Kingdom Work. Pray for them as they embark on the journey of parenthood. I don't know about how you feel when it comes to our Sunday services, but I can't wait to get here each week. It is exciting to see what God is going to do in our Worship Services. I can't wait to get here and see what is going to happen. Thank you to all those who have stepped up with the extra commitments required to run the projection system. I believe this system is enhancing our worship of the Lord. Finally, what about our new neighbors moving in to the community? The harvest field is truly coming to our doorstep. We are seeing new families each week move into our community that we have the responsibility to reach for the Kingdom of God. Let's take time to get to know our new neighbors and share with them that we are a church that understands God has a plan for their lives and we want to help them find and follow His plan. When you pray this week, take time to give the Father Above "Thanks" for His rich blessings upon our Church. I leave you with the words of a song, "When The Praises Go Up, The Glory Comes Down."
